David Mandel & Associates, LLC, trading as Safe & Together Institute ("Safe & Together", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose, protect, and otherwise process your personal information when you use our website ("Site"), our virtual academy ("Virtual Academy"), including our Perpetrator Pattern Mapping Tool ("PPMT"), our E-Store, access or attend our live or virtual sessions or events, and access or utilise any services, including subscription services ("Services").
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "personal information" means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not and whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
Consent and Changes to this Privacy Policy
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing and using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to (i) the terms of our Privacy Policy and any other applicable agreement that may be provided together with the Services; and (ii) our collection and processing of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services.
If you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy on behalf of an organisation or entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to agree to this Privacy Policy on behalf of that organisation or entity and to bind them to these provisions.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, Services, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Information you provide directly to us:
Identification and Contact Information: Your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other contact details when you register for an account, purchase from our E-Store, or register for events
Account Registration Information: User ID, log-in details, security questions and answers, and passwords
Professional Information: Current position, job title, business sector, geographic information, employer, or location
Marketing and Communications Data: Your marketing preferences or interests in our Services
Other personal information you submit to us through communications, purchase orders, customer support exchanges, surveys, promotions, or otherwise

Audiovisual Information: Pictures you may upload to your profile on the Virtual Academy
Geolocation Data: Physical location of your device through collection of data by satellite, cell phone tower, or Wi-Fi signals
Third-Party Social Media Information: Information from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, Instagram, and similar sites
Images and Video Recordings: Pictures and videos taken of attendees at our live or virtual events
Publicly Available Information: Information from registers, the internet, public authorities, previous employers, educational institutions, suppliers, and vendors
Commercial Information: Records of products and services purchased from us
Marketing and Research Information: Demographic data, including income, family status, age, gender, interests
Technical Data: Cookies, web server logs, web beacons and other technologies
How We Use Your Personal Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
To manage our relationship with you, including providing information about our Services, billing, order processing, troubleshooting, and customer support

Our Service Providers: Who provide aspects of our Services to you, such as LearnWorlds (Virtual Academy) and payment processors, where we have contracts limiting their use of your information
Third-Party Service Providers for Analytics: Who help us understand your use of our Services and optimize your experience
Professional Advisors and Government Authorities: When required by law, to enforce contracts, protect rights or property, or investigate fraud
In Connection with Corporate Transactions: Such as sale, transfer, merger, or reorganisation of our company
We take reasonable steps to ensure that these third parties are bound by privacy obligations in relation to your personal information.
The Perpetrator Pattern Mapping Tool (PPMT)
The PPMT offers you the opportunity to map a perpetrator's pattern using information from your cases. The information you enter in the fillable forms on the PPMT is saved on your browser in a secure cookie. We do not have access to and cannot access the information you include in the fillable forms on the PPMT.
In order to use and save your work, the PPMT requires your browser cookies to be turned on and for you to sign out of the PPMT when finished.
Given the sensitive nature of the information stored in your PPMT files, it is your responsibility to maintain the security of your account, your PPMT files, and your computer. Safe & Together cannot be held responsible for unauthorised access to your PPMT files stored on your browser.
Cross-Border Disclosure
Safe & Together is located in the United States, and we may transfer your personal information to countries outside Australia, including to the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
When we transfer your personal information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to your personal information, such as by entering into contractual arrangements with service providers requiring them to handle personal information in accordance with the APPs.
By providing your personal information to us, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing outside of Australia.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical, administrative, and organisational safeguards to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include:

While we take reasonable steps to secure your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information.
